Do you want to get a phone with good performance, superb camera and excellent operating system? You have probably heard enough about iPhone 7 Plus, but you should also learn about other options so that you make an informed decision.

Following is a features list of the best alternatives to the iPhone 7 Plus in India:

Google Pixel XL

In the Android world, Google’s Pixel is often celebrated as the best alternative to iPhones 7 Plus, and rightly so. Google makes both the hardware and the software; its user experience is excellent with an Apple-like harmony.

Google Pixel XL is quite comparable to the iPhone 7 Plus. It has a very nice camera and a high-end aluminium unibody. It also has a superb 5.5-inch display and zippy internals.

Pixel XL also supports the Daydream mobile VR headset and fast charging. Unlike the iPhone, it comes with a headphone jack. It has a free Google drive subscription, which is much more user-friendly than the iCloud.

Google Pixel XL, however, falls short of the iPhone 7 Plus in a few areas. It does not have the dual-camera with an optical zoom like the iPhone 7 Plus. It also is not water resistant nor does it have a pressure-sensitive display – 3D Touch.

OnePlus 3T

If you want a high-end Android phone with a large screen and an excellent value, this is the ‘droid you should consider. Ranging from Rs. 33,000, OnePlus 3T can go toe-to-toe with much costlier iPhones

OnePlus 3T is comparable with the iPhone 7 Plus in several ways. It has a 5.5-inch/1,920 x 1,080 display, optical image stabilisation(OIS), home buttons with built-in fingerprint sensors and a classy aluminium build.  It also has similar specs.

That said, OnePlus 3T’s 16 MP front/16 MP rear camera comes nowhere near the iPhone 7 Plus’ dual-lens camera, optical zoom or low-lit prowess.

iPhone 6S Plus

Just because iPhone 6S Plus is a generation old, it doesn’t mean that the phone has become obsolete. Also, if you want a new (still sold in stores) iOS-running phablet that’s not the 7 Plus, iPhone 6S Plus is your only option.

The noticeable improvements of the iPhone 7 Plus over the iPhone 6S are water resistance and the dual-lens 2x optical zoom camera. Otherwise, both iPhones have the same dimensions, resolution and display size.

They are both nearly the same in their physical appearance, except for a slightly streamlined antenna line and a different lineup of colour variants. The other updates, including internal refreshment and hardware tweaks like the capacitive home button.

The iPhone 6S Plus still has the headphone jack, which is absent from the iPhone 7 Plus. Apple also increased its starting storage capacity of iPhone 6S from 16GB to 32GB to match the configuration of iPhone 7.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Galaxy S series has, for years, offered superb phones. Galaxy S7 Edge is one of the top notched products with its striking glass-aluminium build that comes with an excellent camera and beautiful style. It also an expandable storage and a Gear VR support.

Samsung took a more aggressive approach to personalise the Android software than some other manufacturers. As a result of the latest version of its TouchWiz skin more streamlined than it has been in the past.

Our only hesitation in recommending it this phone is whole the Note 7  battery fiasco. There are updates on the way, and it might well be worth waiting for.

Huawei Mate 9

You probably have not heard of Huawei a lot, but this will almost certainly change in the coming months and years, as this Chinese technology giant increases its presence in the mobile space with stable releases.

The Huawei P9 is an excellent cell phone, but the newly launched Huawei Mate 9 is the one you might want to consider. Huawei P9 looks and feels stunning, made wholly out of metal,

It features a large battery (4000mAh), which translates into some jaw-dropping battery performance. The phone also features all the latest hardware and specs. Its standout features are its camera, and battery performance.

In conclusion, there aren’t many phones that can compete with iPhone 7 Plus and give it a run for its money. But it doesn’t mean you have no option at all. If you are searching for some fresh alternatives to iPhone 7 Plus in India, the above list is a great place to start with.
